Axel Lopez
Bio
Boston native, Axel Lopez began his dance journey at the age of 13. He began experimenting with movement through freestyle dance & bits of choreography. Fast forward a few years later, he joined professional dance company, Phunk Phenomenon. Having dove deeper into the industry, Axel has worked with brands & organizations such as Puma & The Boston Celtics while also opening up for & dancing behind artists such as Fat Joe, Salt N Pepa, and Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block.
Since his move to Los Angeles in 2018, Axel has trained under some of the most well known choreographers in the industry such as Diana Matos, Marty Kudelka, Devin Solomon, Ian Mckenzie, Calvit Hodge, & many more. For 2 years, he also trained & performed with world renowned dance company, GRV, where he placed 1st at Body Rock Dance Competition 2019.
Axel has also had the opportunity to share his movement by teaching at studios around LA such as Snowglobe Perspective, Movement Lifestyle, & Ruts Dance Studio. As a teacher, he aims to challenge students to explore movement that pushes themselves passed their limits as well understand musicality in a way that encourages story telling & articulation of sounds with the body.
Michelle’s passion for dance exceeds beyond just creating and expressing herself. The ability to travel the world and connect with different cultures gives her the joy and opportunity to be able to share her knowledge and love for dance. Teaching is something that always came natural to her growing up and to have the platform to inspire and change lives through this is something she has worked her entire career for. Her focus as an educator isn't about how many steps taught but challenging individuals to push beyond their limits. Developing choreography is just one part of the job that Michelle takes on as an educator and creator. She aspires to develop strong minded individuals as well as confident dancers and performers. Her experience as a professional dancer and choreographer allows her to bring a level of expertise from both worlds into her work.
